Kept on track had a tough day though – because my little miss was in a world of trouble – but at the end of the day she made new friend. Girls can be so mean to each other – we have to teach our children (girls especially) that you don’t have to be perfect.
I was one of those that got teased because of their weight – or maybe I was just hyper sensitive about my weight – but by the time I was in the 5th grade I was 170 lbs – I was like 13. Anyway this little girl my little miss hurt is like that – bigger than most the others and hyper sensitive and my guess is there is fault on both sides. A great deal of teasing from the popular girls, but my guess is there is some defensive issues on the other side too. The problem that I see is those parents choose not to see that there is an issue – choosing instead to play the blame game against the victim. That isn’t okay either – I know darn well that society is working hard to redefine the female image standards starting at a young age because the pressure to be perfect is outrageous. No one is perfect, no one and it is not okay to allow children to bully other children because they are bigger or different. We need to promote tolerance.
Other than that it was a good day – still feeling crampy and wish I would start my cycle.
Take care, Jenny
