HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!
Day 2 of my Thanksgiving holiday. While I am eating a little differently than I have been for a while, I can tell you another benefit from this program, I know when I am full these days.
For breakfast I had oatmeal and coffee, while my mom and little miss had waffles. After breakfast my little miss and I went swimming and then worked out in the exercise room. Well I swam laps and worked out and little miss played. That’s what eleven year olds are supposed to do though.
During the rest of the day I did much better than I expected. As I have said before Thanksgiving is my holiday. My brother-in-law’s family is very big and there were about 25 people for dinner and everyone brought some food of one kind or another. Pies like pumpkin and pecan, a pumpkin cheese cake, and something else. There was ham and turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, salad, rolls, Brussels sprouts, and asparagus. I was able to stick with the veggies and the turkey. I am not a huge ham fan to begin with, and the asparagus and Brussels spouts were made with fresh rosemary.
I only had one serving of anything I ate, and felt full when I was done.
I felt great about how I looked. I wore another of my new size 14 jeans today with my new red sweater, and I looked great if I do say so myself. I don’t remember if I told you that my sister even commented on how great my legs looked. I suppose they look okay, I still have lots of work to do on my rear end and thighs, but they are looking better.
I hope you were able to enjoy your holiday, without the guilt and remember that you are not alone, that this journey is one that millions of people take every year. You are in this to succeed. So keep the mantra going and say it loud and clear, I think I can I think I can, I know that I can do it!
Hang in there with me and we will do it together.
Most importantly make it a great day no matter what!
