11/9/2009 weight 193.0lbs!
So today I kept to my plan. I took my albacore for lunch, but no salad or vegetables. I had forgotten my drink mix so I drank just water and a little coffee. I managed to get to the office before 7am and was able to do 20 minutes on the treadmill before work. I felt great after that and tomorrow I want to get there early enough to get my 30 minutes and some weight training in.
I feel great today. I seriously think that my darn metabolism and the way my body handles breaking down carbohydrates of any kind is completely messed up. That my lifetime of uncontrollably eating plates of pasta, tortilla chips, potato chips, crackers, and yes my beloved bowls of ice cream, has caused my body to forget how to break down what I eat into energy and not fat.
Well with luck, cutting back on the amount of vegetables I am eating will push me back into the higher levels of ketosis.
So the old saying goes you can’t teach an old dog new trick. Well thank goodness I am not that old, I think I am learning something here, so once I finally do move to the full maintenance program I know that I need to work on habits that will reinforce this new knowledge. Habits that enable me to maintain my new found freedom from living fat.
Okay time for bed and then up early again to work out at the office gym.
