I am still floating above 170 – just need a push – but I doubt I will get that today.
Was up early and took my bud for a walk – not a fast walk but a walk nonetheless and then headed to Astoria for a 60th wedding anniversary. How many people do you know make it to their 10th much less their 60th wedding anniversary these days. It was a wonderful event with – wait for it – yes lots of food. I did pretty well, but one of my cousins made fresh sturgeon dip and clam dip and I just love those. So that for me was a setback – there wasn’t much there that I could eat. I had some meat, and some dip and crackers and that was it.
It was a really nice day with my mom it was nice to see her having fun and chatting with family. We are not as close to that side of my dad’s family but we do know them and Aunt Helen and Uncle George (as I lovingly call them) were always there for my dad. Helen is his cousin and she has always kept in touch and kept an eye on the family. They are truly wonderful people. Aunt Helen is dealing with congestive heart failure, what may have been my dad’s cause of death. It does run in the family, so that is a little scary.
I have promised my mom that we would do more of this kind of day – I think it will be good for her.
The rest of the day was great I got home and did some work around the house and here I am – ready to collapse.
Take care, Jenny
